Bishop Christoforos

Biography

He was born in 1970, in Jerusalem, from a family from the Jaffna district of Ramallah-Palestine, in a home filled with piety and good worship. His studies: The sovereign completed his elementary school from Friends Boys School, and his high school from the Zion Seminary of the Jerusalem Rum Patriarchate, graduating in 1989. He joined the College of Sociology at the University of Jordan, where he graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree.

 

His way and his ecclesiastical presence:

 

Sim sovereign monk on 12/12/1988 in Jerusalem on the hand of the Mercy Triangle of Compassionate Patriarch Yuthurus I, and sun in the same year by the Galilee in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem by the Mercy Triangle of Bishop Constantine in 1991.

 

He served in several locations in the city of Amman until 1997, where he was appointed spiritual head of the city of Jerash. He also received several administrative centres in Jordan which he served faithfully. He also appointed a Vice-Chancellor of Philadelphia and the rest of Jordan for the period 2000-2004, a Patriarchal Agent of northern Jordan between 2004 and 2013, a member and a Vice-President of Jordan’s Church Court for the period 2005-2009.

He was appointed by the Holy Jerusalem Complex as a member of the Holy Complex in 2017.

 

“No spiritual life without monasteries” is his famous sentence and his great dream of God’s grace. He is the founder and spiritual father of the Virgin Lady’s monastery, diverse in life – Debin, whose foundation stone was laid in 1999 and began his angelic monastic career in 2002. This monastery is a condolence, blessing and salvation for many of its visitors.

 

With the talent of preaching and teaching, his pastoral career carries a rich library of spiritual and interpretive sermons and lectures that touched the hearts of many and covered various places in the Kingdom. His sovereignty also taught the subjects of spiritual life and the history of the Jerusalem Church at the Theology Course in Jordan.

 

In addition to the Church’s internal activity, his sovereignty also had an outside presence at the Christian level in general, and Orthodox in particular. He represented his sovereignty as the Orthodox Holy Patriarchate for several years at the international Orthodox conferences dealing with modern-day heroics and heresies, and accompanied His Excellency to the Great Orthodox Complex in Crete in 2016.

 

His sovereignty paid great attention to young people, seeing them as the backbone of the church. His proximity, embrace and use their energies to work for the service of the Church, the homeland and society were known. He is a spiritual father to many parishioners and young people. His wisdom in the administrative and institutional work enabled him to establish the Orthodox Centre, which was founded by His Grace Kyrgios Kyrgios Theoflos III and His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed Al Muhammad in 2017.

 

On 15/5/2018, he was elected Archbishop of the Holy City of God Kriakopoulos and Agent of Patriarchate on Amman and all its dependencies. He was painted by His Pleasure Kyrgios Kyrgios Theovlos III on 19/5/2018 in Jerusalem and received his pastoral duties in Amman in June 2018.
